Songkhla Floods - December 05

We sort of time our Aussie travels to miss the Southern Thailand Monsoons, but not this year it was a late season. No golf for a few weeks, 7th & 9th fairways.

1st Fairway with club house in the background!

Road near fishing docks, and Chevron's Dock.

High water at Chevron dock formally Unocal, last time it was this high was Nov. 88.

Songkhla Pharmacy, premise of the late Dr Virat and Margaret. Now operated by daughter Jean, and long time employee Khun Porn.

Road looking back towards post office & market.

Car park at Samila Point.

Serious pumping here, the goods and chattles in the fore ground belong to______!

The folks living under the bridge.

New meaning to SURF FISHING!

Just to much water to bale out!

Council workers manning the pumps. Well at least on site!

Reckon the scrounged every pump they could find, 8 at this location, and still could not keep up.

Sand bagging the klong.

Keeping the rubbish out of the pump intake pipe / filter.

It's all working!

See ya, later!

Our Soi / track, no drama with the house as we are a few feet higher.

Till our next BLOG which will be from our photo archives yet to be scanned - Cheers
